Book: Dorado Fishing

A day of 8 hours on the Uruguay River in a motorboat with a guide, after the dorado, one of the most prized freshwater game fish in South America. US$400 per boat (UYU 15,000), up to 3 anglers. A half day of 4 hours is a separate booking, Dorado Fishing, Half Day, US$320 per boat.

Start time agreed when you book. Dorado and surubi all year round; boga mainly in summer.

Included: motorboat and fuel, fishing gear and artificial lures, local guide, life jackets, a cool box with water and ice, video and photos of the day, private parking, toilets, showers and the launch down to the river. On request: an asado lunch, accommodation. The last 1,000 m up to the Salto Grande dam are a separate booking on limited slots (Monday to Thursday only), reserved well in advance.

Important Bring sun protection, a hat and polarised sunglasses. Up to 3 anglers per boat (ask about a fourth); the price is for the boat, not per person. Catch and release. Paid to the operator on the day, in Uruguayan pesos. Free cancellation up to 24h before.

Nothing to pay up front. I'll confirm your booking by WhatsApp or email within 12 hours, Monday to Friday. To arrange it I pass your name, contact details and the details of your request to the operator, and nothing else; I do not use them for anything else. On the day itself you pay the operator directly, in Uruguayan pesos at the equivalent of the price shown in US dollars, either in cash or by bank transfer.
