Salón del Vino Fino 2027

Once a year, on a Friday at the end of September, around 20 Uruguayan wineries bring more than 100 wines to La Calandria Polo Club in Salto for one night of tasting. It is the Salón del Vino Fino, run by the Rotary Club Salto Noreste, and every ticket pays for a scholarship for a young person from the countryside. The 2026 edition sold out. The 2027 date is not announced yet; in recent years it has been the last Friday of September. What you request here is not the ticket, which Rotary sells, but the weekend around it: I send you the Rotary contact to buy your ticket at list price, the date as soon as it is announced, and a short plan for the two days around the Salón.

Good to Know

The Salón is for adults only, 18 and over. Tickets are sold by Rotary members and at the Royce shop in Salto, by cash, bank transfer or card, and they went early in 2026, so the sooner you ask, the better. La Calandria Polo Club is on the costanera norte, a short taxi ride from the centre. The night runs from 9pm to about 11.30pm, with food through the evening, and the wineries' own people pour. Everything is in Spanish. Nothing is paid to me: the ticket is paid to Rotary, and all of it goes to the scholarship plan.

The ticket (UYU 2,000 in 2026) is bought from Rotary Club Salto Noreste at list price, and the 2027 price is theirs to set. All I need is how many you are and whether you want the winery visit and the hot springs around it.
