Acuamanía

Uruguay's first hot springs water park, beside Termas del Daymán: ten rides on warm water, open from September to March

The Place

Slides on Hot-Spring Water

Acuamanía is the water park next door to Termas del Daymán, 10 km from Salto. It was the first in Uruguay to run its slides on hot-spring water, and it still does: the water comes straight from the Guaraní Aquifer, filtered and ozonised, at up to 30 °C, and in the cooler months the park heats it with biomass boilers. It is a different place from the municipal hot springs, with its own gate, its own ticket and its own season.

The park sits on about 15,000 m² of municipal land beside the pools, run by a private company under a concession the Intendencia renewed in 2022 for another 25 years. There are ten rides, from a lazy river to the big slide, warm pools for the adults, a children's pool with a pirate ship, and recreation staff who run competitions, water basketball and a treasure hunt through the day.

It is a day out for families, and a dry-day one: the park is open-air and follows the national weather service. The hot springs next door are open every day of the year; Acuamanía is not, so the season and the calendar below are the first thing to check.

Season 2026/27 18 September 2026 to 28 March 2027, 10:30 to 18:30. Outside the summer peak the park opens on the days marked on its calendar, mostly Thursday to Sunday in October 2026, so check the date before you go. Tickets at acuamania.uy or at the gate. Source: acuamania.uy, October 2026.

Good to Know

Before You Go

01
Included

Inflatable rings, sun loungers, chairs, tables and parasols are free, first come first served. Lifeguards on every ride and pool, a first-aid post with a nurse all day, lockers, a tourist information desk, and life jackets and balls on loan.

02
The Weather Rule

The park follows the INUMET forecast. If a weather alert keeps it closed at 10:30, it stays closed until the forecast changes and the ticket stays valid for the rest of the season. A storm warning clears the pools and rides; a red alert empties the park. No refunds for weather, or for anything else: tickets cannot be returned or exchanged.

03
Food

Restaurants and new food outlets inside, with an outdoor eating area under the trees. You can bring a cool box with fruit, snacks, simple meals, drinks, ice and baby food; not what the park itself sells, and nothing in glass.

04
Access

Accessible toilets, ramps and paths, and priority for anyone wearing the sunflower lanyard. The water rides themselves are not accessible at present, in the park's own words. Re-entry is allowed, with a check on minors. No pets.

Plan It

Getting There and Making a Day of It

01
Getting There

The park is inside the Daymán resort village, beside the hot springs. From the centre of Salto the city bus to Daymán costs UYU 45, and a taxi is about US$15 (fares on saltouruguay.com). By car, Route 3 south, 10 km.

02
With the Hot Springs

Two tickets, two gates. The municipal pools open at 8:00, the park at 10:30, so the usual day is the hot springs early, the slides from mid-morning, and the hot springs again in the evening, when the park has closed and the pools are still open until 22:00.

03
Sleeping Next Door

Most of the Daymán hotels, Los Naranjos among them, are on the park's hotel list, which gives their guests a discounted ticket. The Stay page covers the village and its prices.

04
Groups

Groups of more than 15 get a group rate: the park takes those bookings on +598 91 693 222. Companies and schools have their own programmes, from a day at the park to an evening with the central pool to themselves.
