Spa Thermal Daymán

The private spa next door to the municipal park at Termas del Daymán: indoor and outdoor hot-spring pools, a gym and a sauna, for a day pass or a membership

The Quiet Neighbour

Spa Thermal Daymán is the private spa beside the municipal park at Termas del Daymán, 10 km south of Salto. Same hot-spring water, a different scale: where the municipal park is eleven pools and wide lawns for everyone, the spa is indoor and outdoor thermal pools, a gym, a dry sauna and yoga, with massages and facial mud treatments on site, for people who want the warm water with fewer people around it.

You get in with a day pass bought at the gate, or with a membership if you are in Salto for a while; the spa quotes those itself. It opens late, until 22:00 every day it is open, which makes it the natural second half of a hot springs day: the municipal pools in the morning, the spa in the evening, or the other way round.

The pools under a roof are the detail worth knowing: on a wet day in Daymán, when the open-air parks empty, the spa keeps going.

Hours and the day pass Tuesday to Friday 9:00 to 22:00, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 to 22:00; closed on Mondays. Day pass UYU 280 at the gate, about US$7; residents of Salto pay UYU 250. Massages and facial mud treatments may be an extra, paid at the spa. Source: Spa Thermal Daymán on Instagram, October 2026.

Good to Know

Before You Go

01
What to Bring

A swimsuit, a towel and sandals are all you need. The spa is private and smaller than the municipal park, so there are no parrilleros to book or lawns to claim; the grills are open-air and shared.

02
Massages

Massages and facial mud treatments are on site. Whether the day pass includes them is the one thing the spa has not confirmed, so count on paying for them at the spa and ask before you book a slot.

03
When It Rains

The indoor pools are the reason to keep the spa in mind for a wet day: the open-air parks at Daymán empty in the rain, and the spa does not. See what to do in Salto when it rains.

04
Members

For a stay of weeks rather than days, the spa sells memberships instead of day passes, with the gym included. It quotes them itself; through Spa Day I pass your request on.

Getting There and Making a Day of It

01
Getting There

The spa is inside the Daymán resort village, next door to the municipal park. From the centre of Salto the city bus to Daymán costs UYU 45, and a taxi is about US$15 (fares on saltouruguay.com). By car, Route 3 south, 10 km.

02
With the Municipal Park

Two tickets, two gates, the same water. The municipal pools open at 8:00 and close at 22:00; the spa opens at 9:00 on weekdays and 8:00 at the weekend. The usual day is one in the morning and the other in the evening.

03
Sleeping Next Door

The Daymán hotels are a few minutes’ walk away; the Stay page covers the village and its prices, and Los Naranjos is the one across the river.

04
The Other Hot Springs

Daymán is the hottest and the closest; Agua Clara is the quiet one on the river, Arapey the resort 80 km north, and Acuamanía the water park next door. The panel on the right has all seven.
